Notorious Youtuber Alamin Hossen arrested for anti-national comments
Finally, the Agartala city police have arrested infamous Youtuber and social media influencer Alamin Hossen alias Mr Hanco for spreading defamation, indecent and anti-national comments.
Giving details, officer-in-charge (OC) of West Agartala police station Paritosh Das said that based specific complaints registered by two individuals against Alamin for spreading hatred and anti-national contents, police on Friday arrested him from his resident in bordering Joypur area and Saturday noon produced him before a local court with five days police remand under different sections of BNS and IT Act.
After hearing over his bail petition at the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate of West Tripura district, the court rejected his bail petition and sent him for five days police custody.
Accused Alamin will again produced before the court on May 8th next.
OC said that during interrogation, they will be able to find out his intentions over the hatred campaign against women and the nation and will also block his Facebook and YouTube accounts.
Arrested a ‘Youtuber’ Alamin Hossain for maligning people through scurrilous reporting and putting online objectionable photographs in his ‘Youtube’ channel called ‘Hunco’, who has been running a TV channel under the banner of ‘Sawa TV’ in ‘Youtube’.
OC Paritosh Das also said that Alamin Hossain used to take intimate photographs and private conversations of many men and women and youths with voice recordings and blackmail them by threatening to air them in his channel. Those who paid money were spared but people who refused to make any payment used to be victimized through slanderous footage in his ‘Sawa TV Channel’ shown on ‘Youtube’.
He said that after receiving specific complaints they had been searching for him and on Friday night managed to nab from his home in Joypur area. Two years ago another ‘Youtuber’ Saikat Talapatra who had been slandering many people including dignitaries such as the chief minister Dr Manik Saha was arrested from Kolkata and he is still in jail custody in connection with a large number of cases filed against him by many important persons. Alamin Hossen is also likely to meet the fate of Saikat Talapatra.
