Police handed over stolen bikes, gold chain, mobiles to its owners
The new capital complex police of Agartala city on Saturday handed over three stolen motorbikes, three mobile sets and a high valued gold chain to its actual owners after these items were recovered from thieves.
Giving details of OC of NCC Police station, Prajit Malakar said that after receiving different complaints of theft in different areas under their police station, they registered specific complaints.
Based on the complaints, during investigation, police managed to arrest thieves involved with many stolen incidents including motorbike lifting, chain snatching and theft of mobile phones.
During interrogation of arrested thieves, police had also recovered stolen items and based on the order of the court, the NCC police station on Saturday handed over three stolen bikes, three mobile sets and a high valued gold chain to its actual owners, said Malakar.
He said that three motorbike owners including Abhijit Tripura, Lafenkhu Wrangkhal and Biswajit Banik expressed their happiness after getting their stolen bikes.
Similarly, one Puja Rani Paul of Goyalabasti area elated after she gets her stolen gold chain.
While, police said that soon after receiving any information related to theft, they swung into action and most of the times; they managed to recover stolen items and handed over these to its actual owners after court order.
