Rapist arrested under POCSO Act from PR Bari, South Tripura
One miscreant involved with rape to a minor girl was arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 from North Rangamura village under PR Bari police station of South Tripura district.
Police sources said that as per the complaint of the parents of victim minor girl, one miscreant identified as Mohammad Ali of North Rangamura village forcefully entered into the house of victim girl on Saturday, who was dressing up and preparing for her school.
Taking the advantage of loneliness of the house, accused for molestated the girl and also raped her. After committing the crime, accused escaped from the spot. When her parents returned back to their house, terrified girl narrated the brutality on her and they immediately rushed to PR Bari police station and lodged complaint.
Police registered the case under POCSO Act and within hours, they also managed to arrest accused Mohammad Ali and have also forwarded him before a local court in Belonia town.
Court sent him to jail for two days jail custody and again on Monday, he will be produced before the court for further legal course. While, police added that after completing the investigation and all procedures, soon they will file the charge-sheet before the court.
