Shantiniketan Medical College: High level committee to review progress
A High-level Committee has been constituted to oversee the different facilities like infrastructure and development, academic activities, construction of hospital and patient care services of Tripura Santiniketan Medical College and the proposed attached hospital at Ranirkhamar, Madhuban, West Tripura as per the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
The secretary of Health department of Tripura government, Kiran Gitte, issued a notification in this regard.
In the constituted 7 (Seven) Members Committee, the Director of Health Services, Government of Tripura will act as the Chairman, whereas, the Director of Medical Education will be the Convener of the committee. Other members of the Committee will be Principal, Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC), Principal, Tripura Medical College (TMC) & Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital; Principal, Agartala Government Dental College; Superintending Engineer, PWD, Agartala Circle; Accounts Officer, O/o the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Tripura.
The Committee will submit their initial report within 30 days and will also submit their report every six months till the final affiliation of MBBS course of Tripura Santiniketan Medical College by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
