Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers celebrates World Environment Day by planting trees
Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers - as a socially responsible corporate - are known to contribute to the cause of society and much of all that is ailing in and around the world.
On World Environment Day, on 5th June, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers have always raised a hue and cry about the damage being done by irresponsible deforestation - leading to the threat of global warming and the fear of an impending disaster in terms of risks to survival of life on this planet.
This year, on 5th June - World Environment Day - they are running a media campaign to create awareness of this threat to the environment.
The campaign is titled 'the future of earth is in our hands' and calls upon one and all to 'get to the root cause of global warming and undo the damage - before it is too late.'
At the ground level, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers have taken the initiative to plant trees and help to create a green cover for the future and are going all out to do this.
Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers have taken up 'tree planting drives' at Swarnagram Shikshalaya, Warengbari, Tripura and Bela Saha Smriti Vidyamandir, Sundarban, West Bengal. The organization has also distributed quick grown coconut trees among the villagers of Sundarban area for protecting the environment of Mother Earth and distributed saplings from all their showrooms.
On this occasion, Rupak Saha, director, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers said, ‘The objective is to be actively involved in this much needed exercise to protect the environment of our Mother Earth and spread the message for a greener world.’
