State govt reviews ongoing projects in South district to ensure quality and timely completion

The state government has launched a comprehensive review process to assess the implementation and quality of ongoing projects across various departments. In a move aimed at ensuring efficient project execution and timely delivery, government officials, including the State Government Secretary, are visiting ground zero to inspect progress firsthand.

On Saturday, January 11, State Government Secretary Abhishek Singh, IAS, conducted an extensive review of several key projects in South District. These included initiatives by the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL), the Tripura Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TREDA), and various departments under the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation(DWS), as well as Urban Local Bodies and TULM (Tripura Urban Local Municipalities).

The review covered a range of projects, with a specific focus on the RDSS project, solar energy installations by TSECL & TREDA, and various water and sanitation initiatives. Secretary Singh toured multiple project sites and interacted directly with beneficiaries to gauge their experiences and concerns. His visit also included a detailed discussion with district and state-level officials to assess the progress of these ongoing works.

During his visit, Singh gathered feedback from local beneficiaries, recorded their grievances, and instructed the concerned officials to address any issues promptly. "It is crucial that these projects not only meet the set deadlines but also maintain the highest standards of quality. The benefits should reach the people without unnecessary delays," said Singh while speaking to the staff and officers at the sites.

Following the field visits, Secretary Singh convened a meeting at the Belonia Circuit House with senior officials of the concerned departments. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that all projects are completed within the stipulated time frames while maintaining their quality. "Time management and quality control are critical. Delays in completion will not be tolerated," Singh instructed the officials. He further directed all concerned authorities to ensure that the work continues smoothly and according to the prescribed standards.

The review process is part of the state government's broader efforts to enhance accountability and improve the delivery of services to the public, ensuring that development projects contribute effectively to the state's growth and welfare.
