Suspected thief murder at Kadamtala, two including a woman arrested
Two suspected assailants including a woman were arrested by North Tripura district police on Saturday after recovery of the dead body of a suspected thief.
Police sources said that on Saturday noon, local villagers of South Kadamtala under ward number-6 noticed a body of a man lying in mysterious condition near a pond with blood stains.
Immediately, the informed the incident to Kadamtala police station and after police reached the spot, seeing the mysterious condition of the body, which was lying near the bank of the pond with multiple injury marks and blood stains, they immediately brought a team of State Forensic Laboratory (SFL) and dog squad.
Police during their hours-long search and tracking with sniper dogs and by collecting all circumstantial evidence, shifted the body to Kadamtala hospital for post-mortem.
Police said that the deceased man has been identified as Jamir Uddin of the same locality, who was wanted in a stealing case.
Later, police based on the evidence of crime scene and statements of some local villagers have arrested two persons including a woman as suspected killers of Jamir Uddain.
The police, till last report, did not disclose the names of the arrested persons for the sake of investigation and claimed that after resolving murder mystery, they will share all details of the assailants and the mystery of the murder.
