Three infamous lifters arrested, stolen e-rickshaw, bike recovered
Three infamous motorbike lifters were arrested by Agartala city police and recovered one stolen e-rickshaw and a motorbike under their possessions on Sunday.
Giving details, officer-in-charge (OC) of West Agartala police station, Paritosh Das said that recently an e-rickshaw was stolen from vegetable market of Battala Bazar and after receiving the complaint, police started investigation.
During investigation, the police team has also collected CCTV footage from Agartala Smart City Mission and identified one of the thieves involved in the e-rickshaw stolen case, identified as Shibu Saha of Aralai Choumohani area under East Agartala police station.
Police on Sunday arrested him from Jirania and based on his interrogation statement, police recovered the stolen e-rickshaw and have also arrested two other infamous bike lifters identified as Raju Das and Dulal Das, said OC.
He said that police also recovered a numberless stolen motorbike under the possessions of Raju Das and Dulal Das. All arrested three lifters were produced before a local court on Sunday with police remand appeals for further interrogation.
