Three years old girl child died after consumed Kerosene oil instead of water
In a heart rendering incident, one three years old girl child died after daylong battle at GB Hospital after she consumed Kerosene oil instead of water, when she was busy playing with another kid at her ancestral home at NC Nagar area of Belonia under South Tripura district.
Sources said that the deceased girl , Shivani Debnath (03) on Wednesday morning after her nursery school went to play with her neighbour friend, but during their playing she consumed Kerosene oil from a bottle instead of water in absence of oil inmates of that house.
Later, her mother went to that house and she noticed Shivani started vomiting and found the smell of Kerosene oil. Amidt hue and cry, Shivani’s mother with help of local villagers shifted her Belonia hospital and she was referred to Santirbazar district hospital.
On duty doctors of the South Tripura district hospital without giving her necessary treatment, again referred to seriously ill Shivani to GB Hospital in Agartala on Wednesday afternoon.
After battling for life for a few hours, ultimately Shivani breathed her last at GB Hospital on Wednesday evening. On Thursday, morning after autopsy, her mortal remains were handed over to her parents.
Her parents with deep heart and water in eyes narrated the incident in front of media cameras and how they were victimized by negligence treatment. A pall of gloom descended in her native village, when her parents on Thursday afternoon brought her lifeless body.
