Tipra-Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore threatens to go for ‘fast unto death’

The supremo and founder of Tipra-Motha, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma has threatened for “fast unto death” if the demands of constitutional solution are not fulfilled by the Central government.

Apparently disheartened, Debbarma said, “I have sacrificed a lot for this movement. I have broken away from my original party. The hard work I did on the fields affected my personal life and health. If my death inspires my people I am ready for that.”

Pradyot in his social media post said that “We are answerable to our next generation! Nothing is impossible if we continue to be clear in our message - No alliance with anyone without getting our constitutional solution in writing! I will lead from the front even if I have to die I will do so for my people. Even those who don't like me will see how pradyot will lead from the front.

“If you feel that I have become emotional then it's because of all of you my people  and I am going to go for a fast unto death at hataikotor (Baramura) , I cannot give up on our poor people.”
Pradyot also highlighted that his issues were avoided by the people in power because Tripura is a small state. “In my eyes all Indians are equal. If this is the way left, I will walk on that,” he added.

Debbarma’s statement came shortly after a meeting of the party’s top leadership on Friday night. He also met leaders of the Congress party. In his audio message, Debbarma cited his family problems and health complications as well.
