Tragic road mishap at Baramura hill ranges, 13 including women, children injured
In a tragic road accident at the national highway portion of Baramura hill ranges on Thursday morning, altogether 13 people including children and women suffered critical injuries.
After the road mishap took place, opposition leader of Tripura, Animesh Debbarma was on going to his destination and seeing the tragic incident, stopped his convoy and expedited rescue operation.
SDPO (Teliamura) Prasun Kanti Tripura said that a passenger mini bus collided face on with a passenger jeep at the hill ranges at heavy speed. As a result, 13 persons including women and children sustained injuries.
He said that immediately, firefighters and police rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation. Among the injured, six were shifted to Teliamura hospital and other injured persons were shifted to Jirania hospital. Among the six injured persons admitted to Teliamura hospital, one Chinubala Das (35() and her son Biki Das (4) were referred to GB Hospital due their critical injuries.
At the accident spot, speaking with media persons, opposition leader Animesh Debbarma said that on the way to his destination, he saw the tragic accident and expedited the rescue operation with local administration.
