Tripura cabinet to give financial support on marriages of daughters of Antyodaya families
In a significant decision, the Tripura cabinet has decided to give Rs. 50,000 during the marriage of a daughter belonging to ‘Antyodaya’ family.
Giving details of the cabinet decisions, Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury briefing the media at Civil Secretariat on Friday afternoon said that the cabinet meeting held on August 20th last led by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, the state cabinet has decided to give one time financial support during marriage of the daughter belongs to any Antyodaya family with Rs. 50,000.
During the cabinet meeting, many important decisions for different schemes under Social Welfare and Social Education department, the state cabinet has decided that under ‘Chief Minister Antyodaya Shradhanjali’ scheme, the cremation cost for any persons from Antyodaya family has been increased from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 10,000, said Chowdhury.
He said that a new scheme, “Chief Minister Scheme for Mentally Challenged Persons”, all disabled persons with minimum 60 percent of disability or any intellectual disabled persons will get a monthly honorarium of Rs. 5000 per month.
The Minister also said that four vacant posts of CDPO under the Social Welfare and Social Education department will be filled up through a recruitment drive by Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).
