Two minor boys arrested in Bishalgarh with 7 lakh cash related to a big drug deal
At time when the Crime Branch of the state police continues its multi-states investigation and arrest of three kingpins involved in the seizure of drugs worth Rs 5.4 crore recovered from a goods train from Jirania Railway station arriving from Delhi, the Bishalgarh police on Monday arrested two minor boys with cash Rs. 7 lakh related to a big drug deal.
Police sources said that on Monday during routine check of vehicles at the Bypass portion of Bishalgarh-Boxanagar route under Sepahijala district, the Traffic unit personnel tried to stop a suspected motorbike, moving towards bordering Boxanagar. But, a bike rider with a pillion rider tried to escape, but alert police chased them and managed to detain them.
During search in the motorbike (TR-A-07-H-9462) and its rider, Rubel Hussain (16), police recovered acsh amount of Rs. 7 lakh under his possession.
Immediately, police arrested both minor boys and started interrogation.
Police sources claimed that preliminary interrogation revealed that the seized cash amount of Rs. 7 lakh related to a big drug deal and both boys after collecting the amount, were moving towards their destination at the bordering Boxanagar area.
Police cannot rule out the possibilities of the seized amount related to drug haul from a goods train from Jirania Railway station and added that investigation is going on to unearth the mystery behind seizure of this big amount of rupees.
Police also said that senior officials are present interrogating both arrested boys to find out the source of the seized amount.
