Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to lay foundation and inaugurate key MDoNER projects in Tripura
Scindia to Inaugurate Agarwood Projects Worth ₹78.53 Cr and Launch Matabari Tourism Circuit Worth ₹276.78 Cr
Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, will be on a three-day visit to Tripura and Assam from 23 to 25 January 2026. The visit will include key project inaugurations, foundation laying programmes and field engagements across the two states.
On 23 January, the Union Minister will arrive in Agartala and participate in the inauguration and laying of foundation stone of various MDoNER development projects at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan. He will also visit the Maternal Child Health (MCH) Wing at Agartala Government Medical College and the Agartala Government Dental College, followed by darshan at the Tripurasundari Shaktipeeth (Matabari Temple).
On 24 January, Jyotiraditya Scindia will visit Kadamtala in North Tripura district, where he will inaugurate Agarwood projects worth ₹78.53 crore. He will also visit the Unakoti Heritage Site.
On 25 January, the Union Minister will launch the Matabari Tourism Circuit project worth ₹276.78 crore at Dumbur. Later, he will travel to Guwahati, Assam, where he will participate in the foundation laying and launch of bamboo projects and attend the Pratidin Achiever Awards, 2026 at Gauhati University, before returning to New Delhi.
