West District Revenue Court to dispose all pending land related cases

A Special Revenue Court was launched on Saturday to dispose of the backlog of land-related cases at the office of District Magistrate (DM) of West Tripura district.

Dr, Dr Vishal Kumar stated that nearly three thousand lands related cases are pending and it will take three to four months to dispose of them.

The initiative, aimed at accelerating the resolution of these cases, will hold sessions on Saturdays and Sundays. District Magistrate Vishal Kumar revealed that over 3,000 land-related cases are currently pending in district courts. The special court is tasked with resolving 40-50 cases each day, with an ambitious goal of clearing the backlog within three to four months. On the first day, 40 cases were listed, and 30 have already been disposed of, demonstrating the court's efficiency and dedication.

He assured that the regular court sessions, held on weekdays, will continue without interruption. He also mentioned his willingness to discuss the initiative with other districts that might be interested in adopting a similar approach.

This new measure is expected to significantly reduce the number of pending land-related cases, providing faster relief and justice to the residents of the District.
