Another Pakistan International Airline crew member goes missing in Canada
Islamabad/IBNS: Another cabin crew member of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has reportedly gone missing during duty after arriving in Canada, reports the Dawn.
According to reports, the crew member, identified as Mohsin Raza, who was based in Islamabad, went untraceable during a layover in Toronto, sparking concern among the airline's management.
Raza was scheduled to fly back to Karachi on PIA flight PK784 on Sunday (Oct. 13).
However, he did not report for the flight and was discovered missing from his hotel room.
A PIA spokesperson confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the incident, as the crew member was expected to return to Pakistan from Toronto.
The spokesperson stated that strict disciplinary action will be taken in accordance with airline regulations, which could result in his dismissal if found guilty.
The PIA management is coordinating with Canadian authorities to prevent such occurrences in the future.
Despite several efforts by PIA to address the issue, cases like this continue to arise, as per reports.
