'Hold Quran in your right hand, atom bomb on left': Pak leader's startling solution to economic crisis
Islamabad/IBNS: A Pakistan leader has stirred a row with his bizarre solution to the country's economic crisis that has kept the South Asian nation on an edge, media reports said.
Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan party leader Saad Rizvi has said the Shehbaz Sharif government should go to other countries with nuclear bombs and demand money instead of begging.
In a viral video, Rizvi said as quoted by various media, "They are sending the prime minister (Shehbaz Sharif), his entire cabinet and chief of army staff to other countries to beg for economic aid… I ask why are they doing this? They said the Pakistani economy is in danger.."
"Instead, I advise them to take the Quran in one hand and the atom bomb suitcase in the other, and take the cabinet to Sweden, and say that we have come for the security of the Quran. If this entire universe does not fall under your feet, then you can change my name," he added.
Rizvi said this at a rally in Lahore.
The Pakistani leader had also said his country should give threats to other countries to fulfill the needs.
The party was formerly banned in Pakistan.
In 2021, members of the party forced then Prime Minister Imran Khan to free their leader from a Lahore jail and remove his name from the list of terror suspects.
