Pakistan: Man arrested in Saddar after he chops off his wife's leg over minor dispute
A Pakistani man has been arrested in Saddar region of Pakistan after he chopped off his wife’s leg over a minor dispute, media reports said.
Police have identified the person as Mazhar.
His wife Iqra Bibi (22) was injured following a minor domestic dispute.
The police told Dawn News that he tied her up and chopped off her leg with a meat cleaver and fled.
The injured woman was shifted to Dr Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital by Rescue 1122.
Police began the manhunt after they learned about the incident.
Police claimed the suspect, along with his accomplices, opened fire on the police party near Sargodha Chak 75 South, reported Dawn News.
He was arrested after being injured by the firing of his accomplices during a search operation, police told the newspaper.
A case has been registered.
