Twenty-nine die as fire breaks out at nightclub in Turkey
At least 29 people died after a fire broke out at a nightclub located in a 16-storey building in Turkey's capital city Istanbul, media reports said.
The fire, of unknown cause, broke out in a building on Gündoğdu Street in Gayrettepe Yıldız Posta Avenue, reported Daily Sabah.
Police and medical teams reached the spot after the fire broke out.
Firefighters intervened with 31 vehicles and 86 personnel in the fire, Daily Sabah reported.
The injured were shifted hospital for treatment.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya posted on X: "An administrative investigation has been launched regarding the fire that occurred in Beşiktaş Gayrettepe, Istanbul, and our Civil Inspector has been assigned."
