Ex-Wrestling body chief Brij Bhushan gets no relief in sexual harassment case
New Delhi/IBNS: The Delhi High Court on Thursday refused to give any relief to former Indian Wrestling body chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in the sexual harassment case, media reports said.
Singh, who was the president of Wrestling Federation of India, faces charges of sexual harassment and outraging modesty of women from the female athletes.
He has challenged the First Information Report, chargesheet and trial court's order in connection with the frame of charges against him.
Singh, a former MP of the country's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, has filed a plea challenging the continuation of legal proceedings against him.
Singh, who faced massive protests by the top wrestlers, was removed from the WFI president's post.
He was also denied a poll ticket by the BJP, which too faced flak from the Opposition over the issue.
The former WFI president has pleaded not guilty, denying any wrongdoing.
"When I have not committed any mistake, why will I admit it?" he had said.
