The posters carried several captions, including “The Silent Guardian” and “A Watchful Protector.”

“LoP Rahul Gandhi — The Real Life Batman,” read another caption on the poster.
Congress’ media and publicity department head Pawan Khera shared a glimpse of the poster on X and wrote: “Not all heroes wear capes - some wear a white T-shirt.”
The post, however, triggered widespread trolling and criticism online.
“Self-promotion is the ultimate step one can do. Not only Batman, but many other characters are available: Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Hulk, Superman, Flash, etc. There is only one difference: they have brains and whatever they do, they have some purpose. No dramas, no tricks, no circuses... Got it?” an X user commented.

Another user wrote: “When will this childish shenanigan end? Does he really think that people are stupid enough to vote for RG because of this?”
“Except copying, you guys can do nothing... cheap tricks, cheap stunts, cheap drama, cheap theatrics and cheap marketing... Is the ‘C’ in INC for that?” another X user said.
