Alia Bhatt keen to explore comedy genre for Raha: 'I haven't made a film that my daughter can watch'
Mumbai/IBNS: Over the last 13 years, Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has explored diverse genres except one, that's comedy.
But Alia wants to dive into the comedy genre not just for her work but also her two-year-old daughter, Raha.
Recently in an interview with Grazia, the 32-year-old actress said, "I haven’t made a film that my daughter can watch, so these are little things that come from within.
"The reason I’m being pulled towards a comedy is because I haven’t done one. You have to find something that’s inspiring you or pulling you towards it."
"I’ve been putting it out for a while. There is some exciting stuff, nothing I can fully talk about but let’s just say if I put my heart into it, I will land up going in that direction," she added.
The National Award winning actress, who made her debut with Student of the Year in 2012, not just excelled in big-budget commercial films over the years but also caught the audience's appreciation in diverse roles.
On the work front, Alia, who was last seen in Jigra, is currently working for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War which also features her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the co-lead.
Alia had previously worked with Bhansali in Gangubai Kathiawadi that earned her the National Award.
The actress has wrapped up shooting for Alpha, which will be her only release in 2025.
