Amazon MX Player series Mitti's trailer unveiled
Mumbai/IBNS: Amazon MX Player, Amazon’s free streaming service, has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming original series Mitti, a deeply moving tale set in rural India that explores grief, grit, growth, and the unbreakable bond between man and his roots.
Boasting a soul-stirring cast, this slice-of-life drama features Ishwak Singh, Shruti Sharma, Diksha Juneja, Yogendra Tiku, and Alka Amin in pivotal roles.
The trailer offers an inspirational glimpse into a world laden with warmth and tradition, on the brink of transformation.
At the heart of the story is Raghav, a successful advertising executive in the city, whose world shifts when he’s drawn back to the village he once called home.
What begins as a journey to bid farewell to his beloved grandfather slowly becomes a rediscovery of purpose, people, and the land he once left behind. The series is a tribute to rural India — it’s a reminder that no matter how far we go, it is the ‘mitti’ beneath our feet that shapes who we are.
Amogh Dusad, Director and Head of Content, Amazon MX Player, said, "Mitti is a tribute to the strength, resilience, and warmth of India’s heartland. It’s not just a story of returning to one’s roots, but of transforming the village as part of one’s personal journey.
"Inspired by real-life stories of urban professionals who’ve gone back to their hometowns and sparked meaningful change, Mitti captures that rare blend of emotion, ambition, and impact. At Amazon MX Player, we’re proud to present a series that celebrates the spirit of modern India, where farming becomes a path to innovation and new-age entrepreneurship."
Talking about the series and his character Raghav, Ishwak Singh shared, "Mitti moved me the moment I read it. It’s rare to find stories that feel this personal and universal at the same time. Raghav’s journey reminded me of the values we often leave behind in pursuit of success, and how reconnecting with our roots can be the most powerful kind of healing. I believe Mitti will strike a chord with anyone who has ever longed for home. "
Akash Chawla & Arunava Joy Sengupta, Creative Producers, FreshLime Films expressed, "At FreshLime, we’ve always believed in the power of unique stories. Mitti brings to light a silent revolution unfolding in the heart of rural India—where highly educated minds are returning to the soil, using technology and modern farming methods to transform agriculture.
"With the backing of progressive government schemes, a new wave of change is taking place. But like all revolutions, this one too comes with its own challenges. Mitti captures this spirit of resilience and transformation through a gripping and emotionally charged narrative."
The series will premiere on Amazon MX Player on July 10.
