Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaar Ji 3 starring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir to not release in India
Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Diljit Dosanjh has announced his upcoming Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 starring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir will only release overseas amid the India-Pak bilateral tension.
Sharing the film's trailer on Instagram, Diljit wrote, "Sardaar Ji 3 Releasing 27th June OVERSEAS Only..."
The collaboration with Pakistan actors and technicians has been halted since the April 22 terror attack that killed 26 tourists at Baisaran Valley in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.
Earlier, Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor starrer Hindi film Abir Gulaal was banned from release in India.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has taken a stand against any India-Pakistan collaboration.
Meanwhile, Sardaar Ji 3 is a horror-comedy featuring Neeru Bajwa alongside Diljit and Hania.
The trailer has captured how Diljit and Hania are given the job of driving away a spirit from a mansion in the United Kingdom.
Directed by Amar Hundal, the film will be released overseas on June 27.
