Hoichoi unveils trailer of Swastika Mukherjee starrer Nikhoj 2
Kolkata/IBNS: Hoichoi has unveiled the trailer of Nikhoj 2, the second season of its Bengali thriller series.
The plot intensifies as DCP Brinda Basu, played by the formidable Swastika Mukherjee, faces the unimaginable—her daughter’s disappearance.
Brinda’s desperate pursuit of truth plunges her into a dangerous web of lies, betrayal, and dark secrets. Joining her in this riveting tale is journalist Romit Sen, portrayed by the versatile Tota Roy Choudhury, whose involvement raises questions and deepens the mystery.
Directed by Ayan Chakraborti, Nikhoj 2 promises to deliver the answers fans have been waiting for, along with shocking twists and unforgettable drama.
The trailer’s visually arresting cinematography takes viewers into the dark alleys of intrigue, juxtaposing the emotional despair of Brinda with high-octane moments of action and suspense. Moody lighting, gripping chase sequences, and haunting backdrops create an atmosphere that perfectly complements the unfolding mystery.
"As a mother, playing Brinda hit very close to home for me. Her pain, her desperation, her relentless search for her daughter—it’s a journey that I felt deeply.
"Season 2 brings her face-to-face with truths she’s been chasing, and I’m so proud to be part of a story that resonates with the raw emotions of love and loss," said Swastika Mukherjee (Brinda Basu).
Director Ayan Chakraborti, said, "When we started working on Nikhoj 2, I wanted the audience to feel as immersed in Brinda’s journey as we were while making it. Every twist, every emotional beat, was carefully crafted to keep you hooked.
"This season is more than just a mystery—it’s a deeply personal story of resilience, and I can’t wait for fans to finally get all the answers that they have been looking for."
Actor Tota Roy Choudhury playing Romit Sen added, "The way Romit will be sucked into the web of deceit combined with the mounting crisis regarding his personal life in the second season, was what drew me to Nikhoj in the first place.
"And the way Brinda's & Romit's paths cross and intertwine is intriguing and viewers will be taken on a rollercoaster ride in this installment. I am eagerly looking forward to reading/hearing their feedback."
The series will premiere on Hoichoi on January 10.
