I listen to my inner voice in difficult situations: Deepika Padukone amid Spirit row
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone's recent philosophical remark is widely interpreted as a veiled response to the row stirred by her exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film, Spirit.
Deepika on Tuesday attended a Cartier event in Stockholm where she interacted with Vogue Arabia.
Speaking on what keeps her balanced, Deepika said, "I think what keeps me balanced is just being truthful, being authentic.
"And whenever I am faced with, say, complicated situations or difficult situations, to be able to listen to my inner voice and just make decisions, stand by decisions that really give me peace. That is when I feel most in equilibrium."
This comes a day after Sandeep shared a cryptic X post which netizens think was targeted at Deepika.
In the post, Sandeep slammed the anonymous person for his/her "feminism", "dirty PR games" and a bid to corner a younger actress.
The filmmaker wrote on X, "When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA(Non Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You've 'DISCLOSED' the person that you are.... Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for ?
"As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft & for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn't get it. You won't get it. You will never get it. Aisa karo.... Agli baar poori kahani bolna... kyunki mujhe jarra bhi farak nahi padtha. #dirtyPRgames I like this kahawath very much :-) खुंदक में बिल्ली खंबा नोचे !"

Though Sandeep has taken no one's name in particular, netizens believe the post was meant for Deepika, who had reportedly placed a number of demands for the makers to fulfill if she had to join the project.
While some reports claim Deepika had demanded Rs. 40 crore as remuneration, others wrote the 39-year-old, who embraced motherhood last year, refused to work beyond six hours a day and charged extra if shooting continues after 100 days.
Meanwhile, Bollywood's new heartthrob Triptii Dimri has replaced Deepika as the female lead in Spirit, which will reunite her with Sandeep.
Sandeep's 2023 film Animal provided massive fame to Triptii who is also referred to as "national crush" on social media.
