Nicole Kidman reveals why kissing Alexander Skarsgård on-screen was so hard
Hollywood star Nicole Kidman, known for her roles in numerous hit films and TV series, recently revealed the name of a co-star with whom she had a difficult time filming an on-screen kiss.
During a recent appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast, Kidman shared that she struggled to shoot a kissing scene with Alexander Skarsgård after he had eaten a falafel sandwich.
“I cannot stand bad breath,” Kidman said, according to Variety.

“This is a deal-breaker for me. You could be the most gorgeous guy, but if you come at me with bad breath, I’m like, ‘No.’ If I say, ‘Breath on me,’ and I have to recoil, yikes, I’m out. You could not offer me enough money,” she added.
Kidman recalled the moment while filming scenes for the hit HBO series Big Little Lies.
“When Alexander Skarsgård ate a falafel sandwich before we did the scenes in Big Little Lies, I was like, ‘No, no, no, Alex. I’m meant to be into you and kissing you — put away the falafel now,’” she said.
“I’m sure he never ate a falafel again. I told him, ‘No more falafel. Not before you kiss, not before you make love,’” Kidman joked.
Kidman and Skarsgård starred together in the first season of Big Little Lies, where Kidman played Celeste Wright. While Kidman returned for the show’s second season, Skarsgård made a guest appearance.
