Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt react after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani bags National Award
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt have expressed their excitement after their 2023 Hindi film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani bagged a National Film Award.
Directed by Karan Johar, the film has bagged the award for Best Popular Film Providing Whole Entertainment.
Reacting to the award, Ranveer wrote on his Instagram story, "The real win for RRKPK is how it has grown to become people's go-to comfort film. They rewatch it again and again, as a form of emotional regulation. Ek aisi film jo dil ka bojh halka kar deti hai. That's wholesome entertainment indeed. Feeling proud, feeling blessed, feeling grateful."

Alia, who herself is a National Award winning actress, posted on Instagram, "What a moment. Love to the incredible team that made this film so magical."

The film, which went on to become a superhit, was the directorial comeback of Karan Johar.
After his film claimed the honour, Karan wrote in an Instagram story, "Deeply humbled and overwhelmed with the outpouring of love for our film... ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAAANI... Heartfelt gratitude to the Chairperson, illustrious Jury, the @mib_india for this incredible honour…..and a big heart to the audiences for their irreplaceable love ….."

Apart from the Best Popular Film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has also won the National Film Award for Best Choreography for the song Dhindhora Baje Re, which was choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.
Celebrating the success, Alia, who featured in the dance, shared the video of her rehearsal on Instagram.
In a long note, Alia wrote,"Reliving these memories and my heart is soooo full today. Dhindhora Baje Re is your brilliance @vaibhavi.merchant. Forever grateful for the unforgettable journey that was #RRKPK, and to every single member of this brilliant team, this win is yours. Big big love to this wholesome happy journey."
