Rohaan Bhattacharjee, Anindya Sengupta, Priyanka Bhattacharjee release Bramhaarjun's first poster
Kolkata/IBNS: The poster launch of Bramhaarjun, directed by Souvik Dey, was held last week in the presence of the lead cast of the film, Rohaan Bhattacharjee, Anindya Sengupta and Priyanka Bhattacharjee.
The story will revolve around the regions of Jharkhand, namely the area called Galudi and the other is Sheikhmuluk.
The control of Galudi is handled by Naresh Pal and his gang, meanwhile the control of Sheikhmuluk is handled by Alam Sheikh and his gang.
Actor Rohaan Bhattacharjee said, "I always wanted to do an action film. I hoped to work on a film like this because I am a martial artist."
Brahma (Rohaan Bhattacharjee) and Arjun (Anindya Sengupta) get involved in the war of power, when both the realms of Naresh Pal and Alam Sheikh deal with cannabis and smuggling and eventually it turns into a fierce fight of power.
"The character is of a village boy who has been deprived and has faced a lot from childhood. So he was gradually frustrated and lashed out on the society becoming a mafia later on," actor Anindya Sengupta said, describing his role in the film.
The web series narrates how the two Brahma and Arjun seize control from Naresh Pal and Alam Sheikh, expanding their dominance centered around cannabis smuggling.
This movie also has a bunch of songs sung by Anupam Roy, Iman Chakraborty, Nakash Aziz and Javed Ali. The shooting was done in several locations including Kolkata, Jharkhand and parts of South India.
Actress Priyanka Bhattacharjee said, "My character's name is Pushpa. Pushpa is a very sweet girl but she has a lot of shades in her character. It is very special and it is the first big film of Souvik (director) so I'm very happy to be here."
Along with the lead cast, the supporting cast includes Kharaj Mukherjee, Sudip Mukherjee, Joyjit Banerjee, Amyth Sethi and Anindya Banerjee.
The expected release of the film is in May this year.
