Saiyaara continues to shatter BO records, inching towards Rs. 150 crore mark
Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s debut film Saiyaara has already set the box office on fire and it is expected that the movie will cross the Rs 150 crore mark on Wednesday.
Since its released, the movie has been compared to Aashiqui 2, the musical romance tale that released in 2013 amid strong response from movie goers and critics.
The film marked the Bollywood debut of Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Kapoor.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Wednesday said the Saiyaara has already scored Rs. 133.75 crore at the Box Office till Tuesday, an achievement which even major movies have failed to gain in recent years.
Winning hearts and with a strong response from the audience, the movie has already crossed the lifetime India collections of Salman Khan’s Eid release Sikandar ( ₹110.1 crore) and Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's Sky Force ( ₹112.75 crore).
Sharing the box office run of the movie, Taran Adarsh wrote on X: " 'SAIYAARA' IS UNSTOPPABLE - UNSHAKEABLE... The DREAM RUN continues... #Saiyaara remains above the ₹ 20 cr mark for the fifth consecutive day – a milestone that even major films often struggle to achieve."
