This place is like a maternal home to me: Kajol on visiting Dakshineswar Temple ahead of 'Maa' release
Kolkata/IBNS: Bollywood actress Kajol visited Dakshineswar Kali Temple on Thursday to seek blessings for her upcoming mythological horror film 'Maa'.
Kajol was spotted in a blushing peach-coloured saree offering her prayers to Goddess Kali, beginning her promotional journey for the film.
The poster of her film was released earlier on the actress' social media handle, which seems to be a mother, portrayed by Kajol, protecting her child from evil entities.
“I love coming to Kolkata. I have complete faith in ‘Maa’. I feel like I'm coming to my mother's house. Before starting the promotion, I thought of seeking blessings from Maa and I did. So I'm very happy," said Kajol.
Talking about her film, she said, “I think this is the strongest role I have ever played. The title of the film is perfect for it; it's called Maa."
"It's going to be something completely different and I'm sure it's going to blow your mind," she added.

The director, Vishal Furia, who is known for his work on horror films, including 'Chhorii' and its recent sequel, 'Chhorii 2', promises a spine-chilling anticipation for 'Maa'.
The movie's screenplay is written by Saiwyn Quadras. Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande and Kumar Mangat Pathak produced the film.
The film is presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films with an ensemble cast including Ronit Bose Roy, Indraneil Sengupta and Kherin Sharma, among others.
The movie is set for a theatrical release on June 27 this year.
