Tota Roy Chowdhury starrer Chaalchitro: The Frame Fatale starts streaming on Hoichoi
Kolkata/IBNS: Director Pratim D. Gupta's Chaalchitro: The Frame Fatale on Friday started streaming on Hoichoi marking its digital release.
This gripping murder mystery takes viewers deep into the twisted mind of a killer.
With its intricate plot, compelling characters, and nail-biting suspense, the film captivated audiences during its theatrical run, and now, those who missed it on the big screen can finally catch it on hoichoi.
The film features a stellar ensemble cast, with Tota Roy Chowdhury leading as the relentless cop Kanishka Chatterjee, whose troubled past and strained marriage with Mili played by Raima Sen add emotional depth.
Haunted by a horrific past, Kanishka is drawn into a fresh murder case that eerily mirrors a series of brutal killings from years ago, with women being targeted in a chillingly deliberate pattern.
As he dives deeper, his personal demons resurface, straining his judgment while his team—Anirban Chakrabarti, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Inderjeet Bose—uncover unsettling connections, turning the case into a psychological maze where every clue raises more questions.
Tanika Basu’s heartfelt portrayal of Naseer’s daughter adds warmth, while Swastika Dutta, Priya Banerjee, Bratya Basu and Ziaul Faruq Apurba make strong impacts.
With the murder count rising, Kanishka must race against time to unmask the killer before it’s too late. Backed by sharp dialogues, striking cinematography by Turja Ghosh, and a gripping score by Debojyoti Mishra, Chaalchitro: The Frame Fatale delivers a suspenseful and immersive experience.
Speaking about the film and his character, Tota Roy Chowdhury stated, "Chaalchitro: The Frame Fatale is more than a murder mystery, it’s a psychological deep dive into fear, obsession, and justice and my character Kanishka is not just another cop; he’s a man battling his own demons while chasing a ruthless killer.
"I’m thrilled that audiences can now experience this gripping story on Hoichoi."
