Kolkata/IBNS: Filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury marks his return to the Bengali film industry after a decade, with his upcoming thriller drama Dear Maa starring actress Jaya Ahsan.

From the trailer it seems that the bond between a mother (who is not biological) and her daughter has created an unease and a key line of this film focuses on the comparison of blood relations and relations of heart, which makes it more edgy and hysterical.
Director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury said, “I'm so happy that our trailer has been witnessed by so many people. We enjoyed a lot during filming and now it's time for the audience to get back to us with their feedback.”
An ensemble cast of the film includes Saswata Chatterjee, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Anubha Fatehpuria, Dhritiman Chaterji, Padmapriya Janakiraman, Sonali Gupta Basu, Biswajit Chakraborty, Shayan Munshi and Nandika Das.

Actor Saswata Chatterjee said, “My character is completely suspenseful. Whatever you've seen in this trailer is nothing but a glimpse of it. You can't even imagine what my character is all about. I cannot reveal much, it has to be seen on the big screen.”
The music of the film is composed by Bickram Ghosh with Papon and Ujjaini Mukherjee as the singers.
This film is set to make a theatrical release on July 18.
