Gautam Gambhir returns to India due to family emergency ahead of first Test
Indian cricket team coach Gautam Gambhir urgently returned home ahead of the beginning of the Test series between England and India in the upcoming days.

The team has suffered a major blow as coach Gautam Gambhir had to return home as his mother suffered a heart attack, reported India Today.
This will be the first assignment of Shubman Gill after he was appointed as Indian team's Test skipper following Rohit Sharma's retirement from the format.
The Indian news channel reported that Gambhir will join the team on 17th June, just three days ahead of the first Test at Headingley, Leeds.
Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate will assume the team's charge during the four-day intra-squad match between India and India A in the absence of Gambhir.
India and England will face each other in the first Test on June 20.
The intra-squad match will be played from June 13.
