Smriti Mandhana shines in RCB's thumping victory over DC in WPL
Vadodara/IBNS: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Smriti Mandhana powered her side to clinch a comfortable eight-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 2025 Women's Premier League (WPL) at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on Monday.

RCB (146/2) chased down the target of 142 with 22 balls left to be bowled in the match.
Mandhana slammed 81 off 47 balls with 10 fours and three sixes throwing DC completely out of the game.

The RCB skipper has also created history by becoming the first woman cricketer in WPL to score 80 or above in more than one innings.
Apart from Mandhana, Danni Wyatt-Hodge (42) and Richa Ghosh (11 not out) also contributed to the team's win.
Earlier, DC were bowled out for 141 in 19.3 overs. Renuka Singh (3/23) and Georgia Wareham (3/25) starred with the ball in the evening.
Jemimah Rodrigues was the top scorer for DC with her 34 off 22 balls.
