LF committee condemns ‘false and baseless campaign' of ruling BJP

The Left Front committee Wednesday lashed out at the ruling BJP’s ongoing campaign of ‘Ghar Ghar BJP’ and  by ‘Har Ghar Sushashan and ‘Proti Ghore Sushasan’  in different parts of the state.

Addressing a press conference here at CPI(M) headquarters on Wednesday LF convener Narayan Kar accompanied by other front leaders  described  the campaign as ‘totally false and baseless’  and  said that the entire campaign is designed to mislead people by  spreading  half-truths and distorted facts. “The BJP has not even laid a new brick for any project barring the so-called SEZ in Sabroom which is half done ; all that they are doing is inaugurating the projects left completed by the LF governments; their false campaign will not carry any response among people ; the aware people of Tripura are not going to fall for this mischievous campaign” said Narayan Kar.

The CPI (M) state secretary and party’s central committee member Jiten Chowdhury said that having destroyed democracy and rule of law in Tripura by their misdeeds the ruling BJP is preparing to falsify the next assembly election but this not erase their 56 months misrule.

“BJP have destroyed all institutions including profit making PSUs , the government employees are deprived and there is dissatisfaction among people all around; with what face they are running this baseless campaign” asked Chowdhury and added that people will through their united fight will give a befitting reply in next elections.

He also said that BJP has reduced the ADC to a non-entity, blocking the development of the backward tribal communities as the ADC administration is suffering from lack of funds. “Even the promised amendment of the 6th schedule of the constitution has not come about ; the tribal ‘Kokborok’ language is yet to be included in the 8th schedule of the constitution as promised and the union minister of civil aviation has rejected the demand for announcement in ‘Kokborok’ language in Agartala airport” said Chowdhury, asking how the BJP is trying to mislead people with ‘blatant falsehood’.
