Assam Rifles, in coordination with Customs officials, seized 1,500 bottles of ESCUF syrup worth approximately ₹15 lakh during an operation in Tripura’s Khowai district on October 26.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the joint team launched a search operation in the Singicherra area of Khowai district, where the consignment was found concealed.
The seizure highlights the continued efforts of Assam Rifles and partner agencies to curb the illegal transportation of pharmaceutical products and disrupt trafficking networks operating across the Northeast.
The seized consignment has been handed over to Customs authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
