BJP starts preparation for the Lok Sabha polls, organised booth empowerment programme

The ruling BJP has geared up and now started preparation for 2024 Lok Sabha elections to ensure victory from both Lok Sabha seats in Tripura and on Saturday organised ‘Booth empowerment drive-2024’ at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala.

As per the directions of the central party leadership, the state unit of BJP organised the meeting of all booth presidents of Sadar subdivision and leaders present in the meeting urged all party’s booth presidents to swing into action right now to ensure massive victory of the party in both Lok Sabha seats, scheduled to be held on March or April 2024.

The meeting was attended and addressed by leading party leaders like the state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, central BJP secretary Asha Lakra, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb, former deputy chief minister Jishnu dev Varma, ministers Pranajit Singharoy, Ratan Lal Nath, MLA Ratan Chakraborty, former MLA Mimi Majumder (!), defeated MLA Sankar Roy, defeated MLA Krishnadhan Das, MLA Rampada Jamatya, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder. Ministers Santana Chakma, Tinku Roy, Sudhangshu Das, Bikash Debbarma, MLA Bhagaban Chandra Das, party general secretary Papiya Dutta, Kishore Barman and IPFT MLA and minister Shukla Charan Noatia were also present in the booth empowerment meeting.

Speaking in the meeting both state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha called upon all booth level workers and presidents to start working to strengthen the party’s support base at the booth level from today. They also asked the workers to strengthen and expand contact with common people and ensure that benefits of various schemes of the state and central government reach them easily.

The Chief Minister said that a strong booth is a strong party and the party's work has to begin from the grassroot level and it is the responsibility of all booth level workers to strengthen the booth to ensure resounding victory in the Lok Sabha elections in the larger interest of the country.
