CM provides financial aid for hospital dues, last rites of one Anjan Sarkar

The state government, under the direction of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, has taken a compassionate step by approving an amount of Rs 70,000 to cover the outstanding hospital dues and expenses for the last rites of Late Anjan Sarkar from Kailashahar under Unakoti District.

Late Anjan Sarkar had travelled to Bengaluru for personal reasons but unfortunately met with an accident that eventually led to his demise. Due to the financial constraints faced by the family, Anjan Sarkar's father sought assistance from the government to cover the substantial expenses involved.

Responding promptly to the request, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha instructed the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) to coordinate with the hospital and authorities in Karnataka. The aim was to provide the necessary support and ensure that the family did not bear the burden alone.

With the CMs intervention, an amount of Rs 70,000 has been sanctioned to settle the outstanding hospital dues and cover the expenses related to Anjan Sarkar's last rites. This decision of the Chief Minister has highlighted the commitment of the CM Dr Saha and his government to inclusivity and the welfare of its citizens. It reflects the true spirit of a welfare state, where individuals in need receive the necessary support and care.

This step showcases the proactive approach of the state government in addressing the financial challenges faced by citizens during difficult times.

Later, CM on Facebook wrote, "Sanctioned an amount of Rs. 70000 today to cover the costs of administering the final rites for Late Anjan Sarkar, son of Sri Arun Sarkar of Kailashahar and payment of overdue hospital bills.  This is a testament to our efforts to ensure that no one is left behind and in keeping with the genuine ethos of a welfare state". He further said, "As soon as I came to know about this, I gave my office instructions to contact the family, the hospital and the Karnataka authorities in order to make sure that the grieving family received all possible assistance. May Maa Tripureshwari grant the family the fortitude they need to get through this difficult time".
