G-20 delegates visit Oxygen Park, Sepahijala zoo, Neermahal

The delegates of G-20 countries who have arrived in Agartala to join the Science-20 Conference visited Oxygen Park, Gandhigram on  Monday morning.

PCCF K. S. Shetty, Special Secretary of Industry and Commerce department Abhishek Chandra, Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs department Dr. P. K. Chakraborty, West Tripura District Magistrate (DM) Debapriya Bardhan and different officials of the Forest department welcomed the delegates at the venue. In the beginning, the guests paid floral tribute at the Shaheed Bedi inside the park.

They were shown different parts of the park. The Forest department officials briefed upon the background and different aspects of the Park. They were shown live images of different tribal communities of the state and were taken to see the Orchidarium. Towards the end of their visit, the guests took part in a Yoga session and planted Agar tree saplings at the park. Then, the delegates visited Purbasha at around 10:30 AM and were welcomed there by the Chairman of Tripura Handicrafts & Handloom Development Corporation Balai Goswami. A cultural program was organised in their honour at Purbasha Complex. The guests looked around the stalls. Afterwards they were taken to visit Sepahijala sanctuary and Neermahal.
