Altogether five police personnel from Tripura have been conferred with President’s police medal for Meritorious Service on the eve of 80th Independence Day celebration on Friday.
Among the awardees figures from Tripura have been awarded the Police Medal (PM) for meritorious service including the SP of Special Branch (SB) Amitabha Pal, Havildar Sishu Ranjan Chowdhury, Subedar Sanjib Patra, Naik Md. Maharam Ali and constable Mrinal Debbarma.
All the awardees will be awarded on the Republic Day, 2027.
