The semi-final match, held on Monday at Lokra, Assam, witnessed Tripura’s team clinching a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Assam Women’s team.
The Assam Rifles Sentinels Cup 2025 commenced with great enthusiasm on March 16 at the Lokra Garrison Football Ground, featuring seven women’s teams from across the Northeast region.The success of the Tripura Women’s Football Team is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Tripura Football Association and the Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles. The Agartala Battalion played a pivotal role by initiating the team’s participation in this esteemed tournament, providing comprehensive support in training, and addressing all administrative requirements to ensure the team’s preparedness and focus.
The much-anticipated final match is scheduled for March 28, 2025, at Laitkor, Shillong, where the Tripura team will face the formidable Assam Rifles Women’s Team. This upcoming clash promises to be an exhilarating encounter, showcasing the spirit and prowess of women’s football in the region.
