NEPRA has raised electricity rates by Rs 1.42 per unit and issued a formal notification for the hike, ARY News reported.

The increase is part of the monthly adjustment for February 2026 and will be reflected in consumer bills for April 2026.

As per government policy guidelines, the revised tariff will also apply to consumers of K-Electric.

However, the hike will not apply to lifeline consumers or electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.

NEPRA had earlier reserved its decision after conducting a hearing on the February adjustment. The latest increase follows a previous hike of Rs 1.63 per unit for January, according to ARY News.
