Four people, including three cops, killed in terror attack in Pakistan
At least four people, including three cops, died in a terrorist attack near a checkpost close to Lachi Toll Plaza in Pakistan's Kohat region on Wednesday.
As many as 10 terrorists reportedly attacked the checkpost.
Heavy contingents of the police and Pakistan Army cordoned off the area after the attack.
Terrorists are believed to be holed up in the nearby mountainous area, Geo News reported.
When contacted, police sources told the Pakistani news channel that the terrorists will be arrested in the ongoing search operation.
PPP’s Sherry Rehman posted on X: " Strongly condemn the terrorist attack on a checkpoint in Kohat that led to the martyrdom of three police officers and a civilian. The perpetrators involved in the attack must be arrested as soon as possible and given exemplary punishment. Thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families."
Pakistan is witnessing a spike in terror attacks in recent times.
