According to local media reports, the two women have been identified as Khairun Nisa and Hani Dilwash.

The prolonged blockade has left hundreds of trucks, cars, and other vehicles stranded on both sides of the highway, severely disrupting traffic and daily movement in the area.

The protesters have refused to vacate the highway, insisting they will continue their demonstration until all four missing family members are safely recovered. They alleged that the individuals were forcibly taken from their home three days ago.

“We have been sitting on the highway for the last three days, but our family members have not been recovered so far,” the protesters were quoted as saying by Dawn News.

Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Hanif Kabzai, along with local elders, held negotiations with the demonstrators in an attempt to persuade them to end the protest and reopen the highway. However, the talks failed to yield results, as the protesters reiterated that they would not disperse until the missing persons are recovered, the newspaper reported.
