Pakistan: Afghan national shot dead in Karachi
An Afghan national was shot dead in a shooting incident in Karachi city of Pakistan on Sunday.
The deceased person's Pakistani wife was injured in the incident.
The deceased, identified as Meer Afzal, and his wife, Saira Afzal, had planned to move to Afghanistan along with her 14-year-old daughter Ambareen from her previous marriage in light of the ongoing deportation of Afghans to their home country, Khaama Press reported.
However, their decision faced opposition from Saira’s former husband and her nephew, Abu Bakar, who hail from Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the news agency reported.
According to reports, police have arrested Abu Bakar.
Bakar claimed he killed Meer Afzal 'for honour'.
The inured people have been taken to hospital for treatment.
