Pakistan: Celebratory firing on New Year's Eve in Karachi leaves 26 injured
At least 26 people were injured in Pakistan's Karachi city due to aerial firing during New Year Eve celebration in the South Asian country.
Several injuries were reported in the past when aerial firing was held in Karachi as part of the celebration.
According to information provided by the Karachi Police and Edhi on Wednesday, the injuries were a result of stray bullets, and further investigations were underway, Dawn News reported.
A further investigation into the case is currently underway.
On New Year's Day event last year, an infant girl died and 32 others were injured as 75 suspects were arrested and booked across Karachi for celebratory aerial firing.
