Six human traffickers arrested in Pakistan
Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) has arrested six suspected human traffickers from Rawalpindi city.
The accused used to extort money from naive citizens by luring them to get jobs in foreign countries, reported The Express Tribune.
According to reports, they were arrested while conducting various operations in Rawalpindi and Mandi Bahauddin.
The accused were identified as Munwar Butt, Tahir Muzammil, Zeeshan Sadiq, Abdullah Tahiri, Liaquat Hussain and Muhammad Rizwan.
Accused Munawwar Butt embezzled Rs6.6 million by tricking innocent citizens into getting foreign jobs. Three cases were registered against the accused. Accused Tahir Muzamil embezzled Rs260,000 by tricking a citizen into getting a job in Qatar, the newspaper reported.
Accused Zeeshan Sadiq usurped Rs664,000 from several citizens on the pretext of sending them to Malaysia. Accused Abdullah Tahiri, took Rs260,000 under the guise of sending citizens to Dubai. Accused Liaquat Hussain extorted Rs370,000 on the pretext of sending the citizens to Canada. Three cases were registered against him, The Express Tribune reported.
