US man caught with a sex worker in his car while eight-month-old infant remained in back seat
A US man was caught by the police soliciting sex from a prostitute while his 8-month-old child was in the backseat of his car, media reports said.
Pomona Police Department said the man was arrested when security forces were conducting a human trafficking operation along East Holt Avenue in the city of Pomona, CA.
"During the operation, a traffic stop was conducted on a sex purchaser. When officers contacted the driver they discovered an eight-month-old child in the backseat of the purchaser's vehicle," the police said in a statement.
"The child was safely removed from the vehicle, and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) was immediately contacted," the statement said.
Police said the child remained unharmed.
Police said the 'father' is cooperating in the investigation process.
"The father of the child was 30-year-old Juan Hernandez of Pomona. Hernandez was arrested for 647(b) PC – Prostitution, and faces the additional charge of 273a(b) PC – Child Endangerment. The child was released to DCFS," police said.
