USA: Baltimore shooting leaves one person dead, several injured
At least one person died and seven others were injured in a shooting incident in the US state of Baltimore on Sunday.
Several firearms were found at the scene of the shooting on the 1300 block of Spring Street when police arrived after 8 p.m., Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley was quoted as saying by ABC News during a press conference.
"There was a gathering over on Spring Street, and at some point, it looks like multiple people opened fire, and we end up with eight people shot and one deceased," Worley said.
Police said a 36-year-old person was killed in the shooting.
A woman and six men aged between 22 and 45 were injured, police said.
The identity of the possible suspects is still not known.
Baltimore Police shared an image from the crime scene and wrote om X: "BPD is on scene of a mass shooting incident involving multiple victims in the 1300 block of Spring St. Media Staging area will be located in the 1300 block of Caroline St. More information will be shared as it becomes available."
